Have you ever wanted to know how to make sausages? Or what goes into the daily routine of a butcher? Or maybe just wanted to get more familiar with which cuts are best used in which way?
Well have you heard? We have started doing Masterclasses!
That's right, we have been busy hosting 2 types of Masterclasses that have been a big success in the community. Many businesses have also booked groups in to have a team building experience.
Everything you make, you take home!
If you are keen on getting your hands dirty (and we do suggest you don't put on your fanciest clothes), and have a CAN DO! attitude, we have two offerings at the moment:
- Sausage Masterclass ($120/pp): 2.5 / 3 hour experience, where you will be demonstrated how a beef gets broken down into all the separate cuts we use daily in the shop. Then, with a draw from a hat for protein, we will take you through the process of making your own sausages.
As for ingredients, we have the basics down, but if you want to bring your own special ingredient/s to put into your sausages, please do!
- Pig in a day Masterclass ($250/pp): 5 hour experience, where it's all about pork. We will demonstrate all the cuts, to then show you our techniques and practices in preparing delicious roasts and small goods, to curing and cold-smoking. As your bacon will need some time to dry cure over a week or two, we will take care of it, smoke it (or not) for you, slice it (or not), and send it to you when ready!
We will take you through the processes of making sausages as well, so feel free to bring your own ingredients or favourite flavour to add!
